Nana Again!

Miss Ginny is here!

He had not wanted to hold her until we
got the basket out, then he climbed in.

Sweet baby girl...both of them are beautiful.

Proud father....blessed little girl.

Liam and Ginny's other Nana...Becky.

My first time to hold Ginny.

Our newest grand daughter, Ginny-Elizabeth Audrey Mabile was born Thursday, January 6. She weighed 7lbs. 7oz. and is 20.5 inches long. She was born at 12:38 P.M. I thought I was going to miss her birth. Sarah called at a little after 5 that morning to say that the induction was a go. Although I was not packed to go, I knew it would not take me long. Unfortunately, I sat back in the recliner(having been awake since 3:30), and fell asleep. I slept until almost 7. I got up, took a shower, and got ready. I threw some things together in a bag and was out the door at 9. I was thinking I was leaving later than I wanted to, but with plenty of time to get there for a birth I figured was not going to happen until 2 or 3. Was I wrong?! Greg text about 9:20 that the drip was started and the doctor said baby by lunch time. I was not even to Beaumont. I picked up my speed and arrived at the hospital at 11:45. Jenny came at 12:38. I made it, but just barely.

I was, of course, present for the birth of my 3 children, but I have never really witnessed a birth. Sarah and Greg gave me permission to be there for Ginny's birth. It was a wonderful experience to see Ginny take that first breath of life. She responded loudly! I watched Greg cut her cord and the doctor handed her to Sarah. My first thought was,"she looks like Liam." I can truly tell Ginny I have known her since the day she was born.

I have been blessed with 2 grand daughters the past 3 months.....Life's blessings!
